39 week update

Well...I went to the doctor again on Tuesday (April 13th) for my checkup. Gavin's heart rate was 136 bpm which is the first time since day 1 that it has ever been below 140. That's still normal - just lower than before. I have not made any progress since last week...still not dilated or really thinned much. So my doctor set me down to schedule out a plan because he informed me that he is going on vacation next week. He doesn't think that I will deliver before my due date of April 19th - but he said most women who go past their due date deliver within those next seven days. But regardless...I will go in again on Tuesday (one day over-due) for a checkup to see if things have progressed. If I still have not delivered by Friday (four days over-due) then I will go in and have a sonogram done to make sure my fluid levels are okay inside my uterus and that he is still doing okay. AND if I still have not delivered by the next Tuesday (eight days over-due) then I will be induced - probably the next day and Gavin will share his birthday with his Uncle Andy!! BUT - my hopes are that when I go in next Tuesday that something will have started to happen and hopefully I will deliver next week. Otherwise - Gavin is pretty happy in my belly and still remains active. Cody and I are VERY ready to meet him! I will do my best to update again on Tuesday after my appointment.
