38 week update

I went back to the doctor yesterday for my checkup. I am still doing well and have gained a total of 24 lbs. Gavin's heart rate was 146 bpm. I still have not dilated at all and I'm about 30% effaced. So I go back again next Tuesday to see how/if I've progressed. I'm finally to the point of hitting that wall of wanting to be done with the huge belly and the wondering how everything will work out. But at the same time - I'm okay that I still have 12 days left because he apparently isn't ready to come yet and him being healthy is much more important! I also still have a bunch of little things I need to take care of and just can't seem to find the time in the day to do it! So maybe he knows that and is being sweet and waiting for me to be "ready". I did go to the mall afterwards and walked around for over an hour! My goal is to do a bunch of walking everyday to help out!!

I received a picture text today from Cody at school. A few of his students gave him this blanket and it even has Gavin's name on it! I can't get over how awesome it is that his students did that. Definitely made my day!!
