18 weeks

So I had my 18-week checkup yesterday. I have gained a total of 5 1/2 pounds...it's about to get scary because my appetite has really picked up!! The baby's heart rate was 144 beats per minute. The old myth says that if the heart rate is below 140 then it's a boy and if the heart rate is above 140 then it's a girl. But I also did the Chinese birth calendar where somehow it calculates what you are having by your age and the month of conception. It predicts 58% chance it's a boy and 42% chance it's a girl. So...still no solid "myth" answers! I made my sonogram appointment for December 1st at 4:30pm to hopefully find out what we are having! So until then...I will be eating and growing a belly. Here is a picture of me at exactly 18-weeks. I think I can officially say that I am "showing"!!
