My journey so far

I was actually very scared of pregnancy sickness. Both of my sisters were and so I assumed it would happen all along. I will say - I've been pretty lucky. I've really only had about two or three really bad days. From about six weeks to ten weeks I was extremely tired. I would come after work and just fall down on the couch. But about two weeks ago I started getting my energy back and so that helps. My morning are rough though - although I'm not "sick" - I'm so dang hungry that I'm a little nauseous and in turn - don't feel like eating! Food isn't what it used to be either. Nothing ever really sounds good and I can't eat a lot in one sitting. So like I said before - I'm snacking on goldfish crackers a lot and of course - eating lots of cheese and pickles!

I had my 10 week appointment last week and was able to hear the heartbeat!! I recorded a whole 15 seconds on my phone - but after several trials I can't figure out how to post the recording on this blog. It's really neat though because I can listen to it any time I want - and do so fairly often. It's still a little surreal since I am not showing (my work pants are getting tight though) and don't feel movement yet.

I am currently 11 weeks and 4 days. My first trimester is getting close to an end and I am very excited about the next few months. My next appointment is October 20th and then hopefully my doctor will tell me that we can find out what we are having on the next checkup in November! Keep your fingers crossed for us!!
