I've never been great with words. My husband is so sweet and always tells me how he enjoys what I write on here. But we ended up keeping Gavin out of daycare last week due to the holidays, etc. and saved a little money from taking a "vacation" week at his school. So my amazing parents offered to keep Gavin most of the week (after New Year's Day) and through the weekend.
Cody and Gavin left New Year's night to head down to East Texas. Cody planned to drop Gavin off with my parents and then head to Nacogdoches to visit some friends from college. I don't know why...but I cried when they left. Even though Gavin (being an almost three-year old) tests my patience everyday...I had so much fun with him over the break and him leaving for 4 whole days just broke my heart. So while I watched Parenthood (LOVE!!), I made this little slideshow/video from pictures on my iphone over the past year. (I had to upload to youtube since it's a pretty long video...). This video can much easier explain my love for my family and how truly blessed we have been this year.
We worked it out while little man was gone! We did a major cleaning out of our guest bedroom, linen closet, attic and garage. Made one trip to the dump, had a garage sale with very little work, made some cash and one last trip to the dump! Now those areas are very clean and organized. Long overdue...but we got it done! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Cody is such a hard worker, especially when it comes to our house and taking care of it.
So a special THANKS to my mom and dad for helping us out more than you know! And a huge I LOVE YOU to my husband. I had a wonderful 2012 and looking forward to so many amazing memories in 2013.
