Back at it!

Okay okay I know it has been over four months since my last post. I totally admit that football season takes up a lot of our family time and I have had a very busy fall work schedule...but it's just an excuse that I just haven't made time to document and blog about our lives. I MUST do better.

With a little push and motivation from sweet husband the other day...here I go again!

Molock's update:

1. Football season for us is still going. We are in the playoffs and headed to Round 3 on Saturday vs. Trinity. GO DRAGONS!

2. Thanksgiving was just wonderful this year! Unfortunately we didn't get to travel to Oklahoma with my side of the family because of football...so we stayed home and had Cody's parents over on Thanksgiving Day. I will fully admit that no traveling can be great...especially with a two year old boy! We didn't get dressed up...we just ate a lot, took naps and watched the Patriots beat the crap out of the Jets!! YAY! I got my tree up with lots of help from Gavin. We all went to the Parade of Lights in downtown Fort Worth on Friday night and got an amazing seat on the back of a truck from a total stranger. And Gavin LOVED seeing Santa and all of the fire trucks in the parade. On Saturday, Gavin and I went shopping and visited a two great friends while Cody was gone to Midland for the game. Sunday was cleaning day and trying to get my mind ready for Monday morning...boo.

3. This fall I found out that I was one hour short in college classes to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. So...with a smirk on my face I had to register for another 3 hour winter-mester course that starts December 17th and will be over by January 31st. But the good news is that once I get that last class out of the way I should be eligible and will start my journey to take the exam. Oh joy...

4. Gavin is potty trained!!!! Boom! We started this the beginning of October I think? And as of last week he is fully potty trained. Meaning no pullups ever...not even at night. The actual day-time training was easy and took only about a good week at daycare to have no pooping accidents. Then we made it through naptime with no pullups and now full time! So he is now getting transitioned at his school to move up to the three's classroom...even though he won't be three until April. I'm telling myself this is a great thing to move up so early and he's not going alone which helps him with the transition to know some other familiar faces of his friends!

That's about it for now. I promise I will try to do better at posting more often and document our lives. Gavin is having SO much fun right now with Christmas. He keeps saying he's going to be a good boy and sit in Santa's lap and ask for presents! We'll see how that goes when we give it a try!

Here are a few of our fall pics that my great friend Jeremy Plemel took:

Have a wonderful week!
