"Summer"

I actually have had two vacations this summer!! For our first vacation, we took a little road-trip and went to Kerrville to visit a friend for a few days, then traveled to New Braunfels to float the river for two days, then ended in San Antonio for one night. We were gone for a total of 6 days and missed Gavin SO much! That was first time we've been away from him for that long and we really struggled. My mom kept him for us that week and she was great about sending me pictures via text message pretty much everyday. Here are a few from his visit to Nana's house!

When we were in San Antonio we stayed at a hotel on the Riverwalk and went out to eat that night with another couple. I actually got a picture of the two of us! That happens to rarely these days...

We came back from vacation on a Sunday and then left that following Thursday afternoon for Owasso, OK to visit my sister, Kimberly and her amazing new pool!! This was a cheap vacation!! We went straight to an outdoor concert and fireworks show on Thursday night and then I was poolside for the next three days! It was awesome!! Thanks so much to the Kight's for letting us use the pool and stay for free all weekend! Gavin stayed with his Nana Kim during this trip and had lots of fun at the lake during the July 4th weekend with all of Cody's family. Since these two trips...we have taken advantage of staying home the past two weekends and just hanging out together!

Last night I fed Gavin pizza for dinner. This was a night where bathtime was not an option! He smeared the pizza sauce all over his face and hair!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer and enjoyed spending time with their families. Being married to a school teacher/coach who never has free time during the school year - we have truly cherished these past few weeks!
