Changes...

Been thinking a lot over the past few days. How wonderful it is to start a new year. It's a time where we get to reflect on who we are and what we've done or accomplished in the past. But my favorite part is that we get to decide if we need and/or want to change it. And I do. I want to change...a lot.

Cody and I had a fabulous Christmas break. School teachers get two weeks and the way to holidays fell, I was able to take off for two weeks as well to enjoy doing nothing and spending quality time with my family. In the last few days of the break, Gavin went back to school (daycare) and I talked Cody into a fun project! More to come on that in a later post. But as we were driving around one day he asked me what my New Year's Resolution was. With no thought at all my first response was...to pass the CPA exam. He nodded. And then he said, "what else?". I looked at him for a minute and then replied, "go to church". And he gave a very big nod and said that's what his is.

It's humbling to say this. But I'm so very glad we both want to and we will keep each other in check about getting started in a church environment.

And during our project...I had some time to just think about anything else I wanted to change. You know...I really just want to be BETTER. A better wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, employee, role model, christian, etc.

So below I have laid out my list of resolutions/changes/goals or whatever you want to call them.

 - Pass the CPA exam (preferably by June but just passing at some point will suffice)
 - Go to church like I should and get involved
 - Blog more
 - Unplug from facebook for a long while (I feel that facebook can bring you down on yourself and take over your quiet time or even when I should be productive - so I'm going on a facebook hiatus for a while)
 - Take more pictures with my camera and learn more about it - maybe even photoshop at some point
 - Focus on being and staying positive (if I can do this step...I can just be BETTER at all my roles!)

So there it is. Wish me luck.
